Shipping Policy
Last updated: June 15, 2026
GearChecked is an independent review site. We do not sell or ship products directly. Every product link on GearChecked routes to the original retailer (most commonly Amazon.com or another major marketplace) where the actual purchase, payment, shipping, and delivery are handled. This page explains what to expect.
Who ships your order
When you click a product link on GearChecked and complete a purchase on the retailer's site, the retailer — not GearChecked — is the seller of record. Shipping cost, delivery speed, tracking, and any shipping issues are governed by that retailer's shipping policy.
Typical shipping for products we recommend
Most products linked from GearChecked ship from major U.S. retailers (Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, Target, brand websites). The defaults below reflect the most common case — always confirm on the retailer's product page at checkout:
- Shipping region:United States (all 50 states). Some products also ship to Canada, the U.K., and other countries — see the retailer's shipping page for international availability.
- Handling time:1–2 business days from order confirmation.
- Transit time:3–7 business days for standard domestic shipping. Expedited options (2-day, overnight) are usually available at checkout for an extra fee.
- Free shipping threshold:Orders over $35 (USD) typically qualify for free standard shipping at major U.S. retailers. Below the threshold, standard shipping is usually $4–$8.
- Tracking: A tracking link is emailed once the order ships. Tracking visibility and update frequency depend on the carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx, Amazon Logistics, etc.).
Large, heavy, or special-order items
For bulky items (home gym equipment, large pet enclosures, oversized kitchen appliances), the retailer may use freight or curbside delivery rather than standard parcel shipping. Delivery windows for these items are typically 5–14 business days and may require a scheduled appointment. Any extra fees (liftgate, inside delivery, threshold carry) are set by the retailer and shown at checkout when applicable.
Pre-orders and backorders
If a product is listed for pre-order or is on backorder, the estimated ship date is shown on the retailer's product page. We try to flag pre-order status in our reviews, but always confirm the current ship date on the retailer's page before ordering if timing matters to you.
Shipping problems
If your order is delayed, lost, damaged in transit, or delivered to the wrong address, contact the retailer's customer support first — they have the order, payment, and tracking data needed to resolve it. If you bought through an affiliate link from GearChecked and need help figuring out who to contact, you can reach us via our contact pageand we'll point you in the right direction.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page occasionally to reflect changes in retailer policies or coverage. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page will always reflect the most recent change.
